Albay Arts Foundation, in partnership with Sir James Arts and Tutorials, conducted a painting workshop for children and adults on March 13, 2023 at Pasakalye BlackBox Arts Studio in Old Albay, Legazpi City. The event was originally scheduled in February to celebrate the National Arts Month, but was delayed by bad weather.

More than 30 participants from Albay and Sorsogon attended. They were grouped in multiple sessions according to their age and level of painting mastery. The workshops were led by Jamesson Callos of Sir James Arts and Tutorials, Regine Eina Calisin of Regine Eina Arts, Aaron Lavapie, Rommel Oarde Prescilla Jr., and John Carlo Magalona Bendaña.

The whole day event included an overview about AAF, which covered its history to date, current and upcoming projects, and the planned art campus in Salvacion, Santo Domingo, Albay.  Workshop facilitators then discussed the fundamentals of visual art, concepts of painting, and the use of different mediums and techniques.
